Introduction

So, this is my first ever blog or attempt to write a blog.  I am not even sure if I know exactly what a blog is, but here goes:  My name is Sara and I am a 30 year old (really?) gir.....woman living in the Chicago 'burbs with my precious little 1.5 year old Sophia (who I call peanut),  my patient and kindred spirited husband Costa, and my old-ass dog who is fondly referred to as " The Donald" due to his toupee-like hair style (real name: Riley). Side note: I got Riley for my 21st Birthday, which was almost 10 years ago at at the time, the pound claimed he was 3 or 4.....so, he's pretty old.

Anyway, I have a pretty cool  job in the city (which gives me the lift I need every one in a while), a great family and set of in-laws, an amazeballs (yes, I love B&G) group of girlfriends that I have know since grade school, and a gold hatchback that gets me through my two hour commutes on the daily (ugh).

A little bit about me

• I tend to have a pretty foul mouth 
• I love Blue Moons 
• I can be too honest at times
• I love telling (and hearing) ghost stories
• I think I have psychic abilities
• I am afraid of the dark and still sleep with a night lite 
• Every night, I see orbs in my daughter's room through the baby monitor- who wouldn't sleep with a night lite under these circumstances?
• I look forward to (and so much appreciate) my monthly girl nights
•  I know Costa is my soul mate and I am inspired by him almost every day
• I am firm believer that everything happens for a reason....even, if it's not planned (Peanut, I am looking at  you!)
• I am growing increasingly aware of how lucky I am to have my health, family, friends, job, and home. 
• I am hoping that this blog will be my weekly reminder of who I am and how much I have

 I am going to use this blog to post stories, rants, raves, pictures, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I wanted a new hobby, and maybe this will be it.... Please bare with me.  I am a first time blogger and just thought I would try this out. Worst case scenario: no one ends up reading this, and I just use this space and time to Free my mind!
